What Counts as Cheating
In shortAnything that gets you something the game wouldn't give you by playing it. That includes tools that play for you, edited saves, using bugs and rigging the Ranks.
Cheating is anything that gets you something the game wouldn't give you by playing it. These all count.
Tools — a bot, a script or any other program that plays for you, or a changed version of the game.
Edited saves — changing what the game keeps in your browser, such as your saves or your Skyth, or sending our servers anything the game itself wouldn't send.
Bugs — using a bug to get an advantage or something you shouldn't have.
Rigging the Ranks — agreeing the result of a duel with another player, or playing against a second account of your own.
Checks and limits — getting around the human check, the daily limit on earning Skyth, the wait between name changes or any other limit we've put in place.
Selling — buying, selling or sharing an account, or selling Skyth or cards for money or for anything outside Skylith.
If You Find a Bug
In shortTell us instead of using it. Reporting a bug never counts against you.
If you find a bug that gives you an advantage, or something you shouldn't have, write to support@skylith.io and say how it happened. Please don't use it again or show others how to use it.
Reporting a bug never counts against you, even if you found it by using it once.
Bugs that don't give anyone an advantage can be reported in Threads as well.
How We Check
In shortOur servers compare what each account holds with what the game can give. Anything that can't have come from playing is flagged for the team.
Skylith runs in your browser, so our servers don't take what a browser sends on trust. They compare what each account holds with what the game can give by playing it.
The Ranks count only what the game could have given. A ranked duel only accepts cards you hold, and plays each one at no more than the level the game allows.
When an account holds something the game can't give, it's flagged for the people who run Skylith. Accounts are checked when you come back online after playing offline, and in turn every night.
We don't publish exactly what the checks look for.
What Happens
In shortA flag on its own never changes an account. Someone on the team looks first, and what they do depends on how serious it is.
A flag on its own never changes an account. Someone on the team looks at it first.
If we find cheating, we may take away what was gained, reset the account's progress or its standing on the Ranks, or disable the account. What we do depends on how serious it is and whether it has happened before.
A disabled account can't be signed in to, and nothing is paid out for the Skyth, cards or relics on it (Terms of Service, Section 11).
Sharing, Selling and Second Accounts
In shortKeep your account to yourself. An account that has been sold or shared, or used to rig the Ranks, can be disabled.
Each person may have one account (Terms of Service, Section 3). Don't share your sign-in, and don't buy, sell or give away an account.
We may disable an account that has been sold or shared, or used to rig the Ranks.
If You Think We Got It Wrong
In shortWrite to support@skylith.io from the address you sign in with. A person reads it and tells you what we decided.
If we've acted on your account and you think it was a mistake, write to support@skylith.io from the address you sign in with. Say what happened and why you think it's wrong.
A person on the team reads it and tells you what we decided. If we got it wrong, we put back what we can.
Reporting a Cheater
In shortUse Report on their profile and choose Cheating. They're never told who reported them.
If you think someone is cheating, open their profile, use Report and choose Cheating. You can add a note saying what you saw.
The player you report is never told who reported them. The Reports and Removal Policy explains what happens to a report.
